I enjoy reading other people’s heartfelt prayers, whether it is in the Psalms or in a liturgical service. I’ve been writing down prayers since I was 9, which has been one of the most influential things in my relationship with God.
I used to feel the need to keep my prayer journals top secret, probably due to a literal interpretation of Jesus’ statement to pray in your closet. But now I feel a need to share them, probably because it is a crucial way of bonding with other Christians and realizing that we are not alone in our worship, our confusion, our doubts, our sufferings, our joys.
To read some of my prayers, choose the category “Prayers” from the side bar. Feel free to publish some of your own.
